So does anyone have TW3 yet? I'm out of the spending stakes owing to vet bills, but still want to know how it looks!

Not yet but I've heard mostly positive things.

I got mine Saturday and it's fantastic!

The DA:I devs have locked themselves in a closet for a good cry ...

Not a game to play if you, or anyone in the room, get upset with realistic depictions of war and it's aftermath ...

Dead bodies, bandits, deserters, summary executions, disease, ghouls, starvation, cannibalism, grave robbers, looters, ....

Huge, truly huge, maps.

Mounted combat if you can handle your horse well, I can't.

Convoluted quest and choices.

In one play session, I ousted a group of bandits from a village they had taken over and the villagers came back.

100 yards up the road I came upon 3 ne'er do wells charging "toll" to cross "their" bridge.

Being a bad-ass Witcher I told them they could "have what you can take off my dead body" and killed them.

A half-dozen monsters immediately ran across the bridge, past me, and attacked the village I has so recently "saved" ...

I played Witcher 3 for about an hour yesterday. I had to force myself off so I could go sleep. It's already so much better then DAI.

Do you have a GOG account?

If so, friend me or (somebody) tell me how to find someone on GOG and friend them.

Haven't used GOG Galaxy yet but it certainly seems to have a lot of features.

One feature I cannot seem to find is how to search for and friend other members.

I could gift it through Steam I suppose, but GOG just seems a better way to go with TW3.

Currently still downloading TW3, I should have got it at retail but its alright, almost there. The thing about the witcher series for me is that I never really considered it a must-buy franchise. However, I threw money at them as soon as I heard about their non-DRM stance. With hugely positive reviews thus far I'm going to give it a whirl soon.

I want them to expand, to grow, to take over the greedy messed up industry that seems to get away with treating its customers like dogs. With internet cut-outs the norm in my country, it's absolutely ridicolous to purchase any game with online-only DRM and even steam needs to "call home" from time to time making offline mode half-broken. It's very frustrating after work coming home and you can't even play the game you purchased.

GOG and non-DRM is the way to go. Many indies already support it by publishing their games there, including my favorite which is Taleworlds. As I mentioned in the other forum, they are the future for me.
